So, you have brought your child to the shops, and he starts dragging his feet because he is tired. He wants to be carried and starts throwing a tantrum.
Another child is always falling and bruising herself.
Which child should you worry about?
When it comes to children and development, knowing when to seek professional help is no child’s play. We often hear Parents asking us the following questions:
- Is my child too young/old to come in for an appointment?
- He does not seem to be in pain, should I bring him in?
- Is he going to “grow out” of this problem?
- Maybe I am just overly worried over a trivial issue?
We’ve heard you Mums and Dads!
So here’s a quick guide for children within the age range of 5 to 10 years, we have put together to help you find out if your child needs professional help.
Circle the answers accordingly and once you’re done, you’ll be one step closer to making a decision.
If your child scored a “No” for two or more of the above tests, or you still have concerns about your child’s development, based on years of clinical experience we recommend that they be assessed further by a podiatrist.
As part of this self assessment tool we are offering a gap free “Children’s Foot Assessment”. So if you do think your child could do with being assessed by one of our gun team click on the link below to find out more about this special offer
