Podiatry Point run for AEIOU Foundation

August 6, 2014

Podiatry Point proudly sponsored this year’s Stafford City Brook Run; an active community day witheventsfor the whole family and ‘Lil Squirt’ the Fire Engine entertaining those who weren’t running.  Two of our Brisbane Podiatrists, Cameron and Gen took part in the fun run, raising money for the AEIOU Foundation for children with autism.

The Podiatry Point tent kept the team busy all morning. Runners were able to talk one on one with ourPodiatrists and receive advice on how to care for their lower limbs and feet. Additionally, we provided pre-race Rocktape strapping and post race analyses on those with aches, pains or injuries.

MC, Patrick Condren of 4BC Radio received some helpful tips from Podiatry Point on the day, and was fitted up and took a run in the paroTec In Shoe Measurement System. He was so impressed with how precise the information collected by the system was, and appreciated the information given by Lisa on how to improve his technique.

Podiatry Point is a proud supporter of the Stafford Heights community and enjoyed helping the competitors of the Brook Run improve their health and wellbeing on the day.
